Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) and FACT Lite (FACT-IL) Programs
Mental Health Resource Center (MHRC) operates eight FACT programs and one FACT Lite (FACT-IL) program across Florida. These programs provide intensive, community-based services for adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses, often with co-occurring substance use disorders.
Our multidisciplinary teams deliver mental health services directly in the community, focusing on promoting stability, recovery, and independence.
Services Provided:
- Psychiatric care
- Medical referrals and follow-up
- Individual supportive therapy
- Crisis assessment and intervention
- Substance use treatment
- Work-related vocational services
- Support with activities of daily living
- Social, interpersonal, and leisure skills training
- Case management and supportive services
- Assistance obtaining affordable housing (including help with deposits, utilities, and rent)
- 24/7 on-call mental health professional for crisis support
FACT Lite (FACT-IL)
provides an intermediate level of care for individuals who:
- Need added support beyond traditional outpatient services, but
- Do not yet require the full intensity of a FACT program.
FACT Lite is also considered a less restrictive alternative for individuals who may benefit from more structured support to maintain stability and avoid deterioration, while remaining more independent in the community.
Services focus on maintaining recovery, preventing hospitalizations, supporting community living, and preparing individuals for transition to lower levels of care over time.
FACT Lite operates from the same location as FACT Northside in Jacksonville.
